If you've been on this side of Chili Ave you know there are at least eight different pizza places within the vicinity of Chili Paul Plaza. I've tried five of them, they all fall somewhere between the three to four star range.
I think Pontillo's is the only one worth all five stars. They hit the perfect ratio for the toppings. Through covering of cheese, the right amount of sauce (not too little not too much.), and there was a fair amount pepperoni (had enough for almost every bite).
HOWEVER, I'm not 100% sold on the crust. Granted it was the right thickness (or thinness if you're like me and don't like really thick bread like crust that chokes out the toppings). It's too soft in some areas and the rear crust had absolutely no flavor. Personally I like a thin crust with an outer crunch and inner chewiness (sounds odd but it's possible to achieve, I've done it with homemade pizza many times).
Despite the crusts minor flaws the overall pizza was exceptional and possibly the best in the vast cluster of pizza joints at this end of Chili Ave. Going to be my new regular.

I ordered a medium pizza and wings for delivery. The delivery was made in under a half an hour after they told me 45 minutes. Overall the pizza was pretty good. I believe they spread the sauce and toppings to close to the sides which limited my "handle" of the pizza. The wings I ordered extra crispy... they were the sealer of the deal for this meal (sorry but that rhymed). Overall very good..

My 4 children have all worked here for many years. You'll find the owner Steve there every day and night. He is always friendly and eager to greet you as soon as you enter. He worked side by side with his Dad Joe for many years and they have given back to the Chili community many times. You can always count on Steve to quickly get pizza out to the Chili Fire dept on a moments notice when the firemen need food after a Big fire in our town. I can always depend on him to help me out when ever needed. Pontillos has the best pizza in Chili and my family wouldn't go any where else. So come order a pizza and see for yourself and tell him a Chili local sent you there.

#1 Pontillos Huge wings, awesome cheesy pizza pie and the friendliest owner of the entire franchise. Highly recommend the clean spacious dinning area for party's or causal. You want the best forget the rest go see the godfather of pontillos pizza you won't be disappointed.

If i could give a zero I would. We were told 45-60 minutes for delivery. 80 minutes later we called and they said the driver was on his way. Called 20 minutes later and they admitted they still had never left the restaurant. So basically they admitted they lied on the prior call. Too many good pizza places in the area to settle for this kind of service. Stick with Good Guys, Marks or Nicks if you live near this Pontillo's.
